We offer many types of classes. Day classes which are precut or start to finish. And 6 week courses. For a private party please email bluehillglass@gmail.com (min 4 participants)


For day classes 

Fusing:

  • You will learn basic cutting skills freehanded
  • You will decorate your cut glass with frit, glass dots and precut glass shapes (available in our shop here)
  • Since fusing of the glass takes up to 16 hours, pickup will be the following week or I can ship it to you for $6

Precut 

  • Glass will be precut.I will demo cutting and grinding. I will teach you how to copper foil, solder and finish your piece. 
  • Classes will be 3hrs.
  • Good option for those with hand fatigue or short attention spans 😀
  • Designs are more detailed and more pieces
  • All materials included 
  • $75+

Start to finish 

  • I will teach you how to cut, grind, foil and solder your piece. 
  • Classes will be 3 hrs (more simple designs than precut classes) 
  • All materials included, free use of scrap glass or bring your own 
  • $55+

6 week beginner courses (On demand at this time. Will start anytime I have 4 interested participants.)

  • 6, 3 hour weekly classes. 
  • Small class size of only 8 max participants for more individualized instruction.
  • You will have time to create larger projects such as lamps or window panels
  • All studio equipment included as well as use of scrap glass 
  • Material Fee: $30 (foil, solder, small flux remover, brush)
  • Class Cost: $275
  • 7th open studio time included in price for a makeup day or to finish project (no instruction this day)

Rules and such 

  • Payment must be made to secure your spot, max of 8 people per class
  • Adults only at this time
  • Closed toe shoes and pants REQUIRED. Recommended (but optional) items you will need to supply yourself: apron (work shirt) and respirator(for flux burn off if you are sensitive to smells/smoke).
  • You will be required to sign a liability waiver in order to participate.
  • Nonrefundable- for daily classes you can makeup the class during another one if there are spots available ONLY if you let me know at least 24 hrs before class. No call, no show will not be offered a make up class or refund. For 6 week courses you can use the 7th studio time but no other class time available.
